The Faces of Womad 2007 -  400 performers from 21 countries provided a mix of music and dancing that entertained well over 42.000 people on the 6 stages of Pukekura Park including the magical Bowl of Brooklands Amphitheatre, Womad will now become an annual event due to the demand of tickets which were sold out well before the event - New Plymouth, Taranaki has  become the spiritual home of Womad NZ.

Womad is more than Music and Dance, its the atmosphere, the happiness, the Womad spirit deserves the beautiful surroundings that are part of the Bowl of Brooklands, Pukekura Park New Plymouth.  Womad is a 'talkfest', everywhere you look, everywhere you go, smiling faces look back at you, the whole womad experience is exhilarating, you never want it to end and wish every day was a womad day, 'people watching' and 'food tasting' becomes such a part of womad and you begin to wish that every day in the world people were soaked in the 'womad spirit'.....The spirit of womad has enveloped the people of Taranaki, and may it never end....  bye folks - see you next time.
